WREN is a consulting firm specializing in Natural Resource Planning and Management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Mapping. The Owner/Operator - John Addison - is a Resource Technician with over 25 years of experience in Resource Planning and Management.
WREN is located in the Beautiful little VIllage of Kaslo, on upper Kootenay Lake in the West Kootenay's of British Columbia. Centrally located in the Kootenay Region, Kaslo is in the heart of the Kootenay's inbetween the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains.
As a Resource Technician, involved in mapping projects throughout my career, I have pursued the newest mapping technology - GIS. This digital mapping process involves the layering of geographic data combined with database information to produce geo-database management.
The ability to produce geographic information with database management is an important and useful asset for any resource planning or management project, but just as useful for Tourism and Wildland Recreation based businesses.
